Laguna Beach California

Laguna Beach #california #travel #wanderlust

Here’s part two of our day trip from Los Angeles to Orange County. After stopping at Balboa Island in Newport Beach, we headed on the Pacific Coast Highway farther south until we got to Laguna Beach.

Yes, it’s the same Laguna Beach that became infamous in the early 2000s thanks to teen soap operas like The OC and Laguna Beach. In real life, it’s a much more relaxing, peaceful, and laid back place. Perfect for a romantic weekend getaway or girls trip.

When we got there, it was still really cloudy out which is so unusual for L.A. Of course, that didn’t stop us from going to the beach. I felt surprised, there was a decent amount of people out. As I always say, don’t let the weather get you down!

One of the many things I love about my best friend Yvonne is she just gets me. There are moments when we don’t even need to talk. Like at the beach, we just sat there in the sand and had what she likes to call “a moment”. No talking, no technology, just pure relaxation and bliss.

These moments of stillness are the ones I’ve come to appreciate more and more.

I put so much pressure on myself to succeed in everything I do. I know there are other people out there that must feel the same. But I think it’s important to be happy with who you are, to recognize that you’re trying your best, and to just be at peace. I think the sooner we can all realize that we don’t have to be “on” all the time, the happier we will be. Sometimes all it takes is a couple of minutes with your toes in the sand.
