Last week was just one of those weeks where I had to get out of our apartment. I wanted to do something different, so instead of working from home in my sweatpants and favorite t-shirt, I got dressed and went out to a coffee shop. I felt super productive and got so much done for my blog, answered work emails, and took short breaks on Pinterest. All in all, I felt great. I broke through the rut I was having. But as it turns out, this was not a long-term solution. So I’ve set out to re-vamp my home office to make it just as appealing and conducive to work as these coffee shops.
state of mind
You know the saying “you always want what you can’t have”? I know that it doesn’t always have the most positive connotation, but I’m really lusting after these gorgeous, dreamy outdoor patios. Don’t get me wrong, I am lucky and blessed for everything I have. But I still wish with all my heart that I had an outdoor patio where I could sit and drink tea, read a book, and enjoy the fresh air. A girl has to have something to work towards anyways, right? I was spoiled to have a little balcony during our stay in Saint Tropez, which made me realize just how nice it is to be able to sit outdoors in your own space. It’s such a simple luxury that I took for granted before and never will again.
Welcome to another edition of state of mind sunday! This week, I’ll be talking about what to eat if you’re sick as a vegan. I normally really take care of myself and my body, so I rarely get sick. But after a 2 week vacation in France then returning to Hong Kong to find it extremely hot & humid mixed with heavy jet lag, I came down with a really bad sore throat. Like I woke up on Sunday with sharp pains in my throat and I could barely swallow. Oh no! So I hoped for the best, drinking lots of fluids in the hopes that it would naturally heal. Did it work?
