Halloween is creeping up on us! Day by day, I’ve been checking off my list of everything I want to do leading up to Halloween. I watched Hocus Pocus, went to see the Halloween villains parade at Disneyland with my fiance, and bought a ridiculous amount of pumpkin everything (mini pumpkins, pumpkin napkins, pumpkin trick-or-treat buckets, pumpkin lantern).

Wish List Wednesday // Candy

wish list wednesday // candy I know it’s summer, a time when everyone seems to be trying their best to stay healthy and step up their workout game. But my philosophy revolves around the idea of listening to your body and eating what it craves. You can eat healthy AND exercise regularly AND enjoy the foods you love. Why does it have to be one or the other? Especially when it comes to me and my incessant sweet tooth, sometimes this means treating myself to a candy bar or two. I really don’t see the point in limiting yourself, because trust me I’ve been down that road and it never ends well. Instead, I like to make my own healthier raw, vegan, gluten-free, and refined sugar-free versions of candy, like my raw snickers bars. That way I can always have a little when the craving hits and I’m happy knowing it’s made from real, whole ingredients that leave me feeling fully satisfied.
