Mantra Monday // Nobody’s Purfect

nobodys-perfect I’m turning 23 in less than a week! I couldn’t be more excited for another year of this life. It hit me that this week marks exactly 1 year since I packed up and moved all the way across the world from Atlanta to Hong Kong. It’s gone by so incredibly fast (as life tends to do!). The older I get, the faster time seems to go by. Not sure why that is, but it’s given me a lot to think about. The biggest lesson I’ve learned over the past year has been self-love. Mantra Monday // Don’t Look Back

I’m trying really hard to focus on the idea of not looking back. Whenever I’m feeling down, looking back at the past is what comforts me. I hold on to my happy memories that are so close to my heart. This is all well and good, but sometimes it makes me wonder if I’d be happier as my past self. I miss my home, my family, and my high school best friends. This is when I stop and remind myself to be present in the here and now. How happy I am with my boyfriend, how lucky I am to be traveling all the world, and how proud I am of my success with very own my small business. These are all things that make me, well me. Mantra Monday // Work Hard Dream Big

work-hard You never get anywhere without hard work. I’ve learned this lesson time and time again whenever I try to take the easy or lazy route. Sure, there are shortcuts out there, but it’s only through hard work and determination that I’m ever able to reach my goals. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from running my own small business in Hong Kong, it’s that you have to really work hard in order to find success in this competitive world. You can’t give up easily or be discouraged by small setbacks. If being an entrepreneur was easy, everyone would be doing it!
