Mantra Monday // Nobody’s Purfect

nobodys-perfect I’m turning 23 in less than a week! I couldn’t be more excited for another year of this life. It hit me that this week marks exactly 1 year since I packed up and moved all the way across the world from Atlanta to Hong Kong. It’s gone by so incredibly fast (as life tends to do!). The older I get, the faster time seems to go by. Not sure why that is, but it’s given me a lot to think about. The biggest lesson I’ve learned over the past year has been self-love. I’ve come to realize “nobody’s purrrfect” both inside and out, so I’ve created this cute kitty cat design as a gentle reminder which you can download for free as an art print to decorate your walls or as a desktop/iPhone wallpaper to dress your tech. Mantra Monday // Be Bold or Italic

We live in a day and age where being different is finally looked at as “cool”. I remember in the 90’s when I’d turn on TV or the radio and every song or show seemed to be screaming at me to “fit in”. Buy this and you’ll feel cool, say this and you’ll sound cool, wear this and you’ll look cool. Granted, I grew up in the 90’s so it could’ve had to do with the fact that as an adolescent I naturally wanted to fit in.

But either way, now you’ve got powerful females like Emma Watson (side note: yes, I’m a major Harry Potter fan) and Jennifer Lawrence spreaking out on feminism and global gender equality. Forget the days when famous actresses were revered solely for their good looks. These women are here with powerful messages and strong voices. And then you’ve got one of my favorites Lena Dunham with her Lenny Letter dedicated to “dismantling the patriarchy”.  Continue Reading

Mantra Monday // Happiness is Chips & Guacamole

happiness is chips & guacamole I haven’t designed my own art print in a while. Partially due to laziness to be honest and also partially due to the fact that I was at a loss for creative initiative. I was more inspired by other people’s work than my own, so I decided I’d share their beautiful creations with you. But this week, I fell in love with this art print on Pinterest. After discovering it was no longer available on Etsy, I decided I’d recreate it for you all by putting my own spin on it. You can download it for free below! Continue Reading
