The World Is Your Oyster

the world is your oyster

Nothing could be more true than this: the world is your oyster.

It’s so easy to stay inside your comfort zone, but the magic really is what happens outside of it. For me, being here in Hong Kong most definitely is outside of my comfort zone and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve always strived to be open minded and that’s what drives me to want to travel and explore other cultures. If you don’t try to understand other people, than how can you ever truly understand yourself? Traveling is the most valuable learning experience you can ever have, because it teaches you things about yourself you might not have ever known or realized otherwise. The world is your oyster, so open your mind to it.

Traveling has definitely made me a more humble, grateful, and inspired person. I’m lucky to have been all over the world, from England to Cambodia to Jamaica to Vietnam. The list goes on and on and I’m still adding to it. Next up will be Bali with my boyfriend for my 22nd birthday! It’s crazy to think we’ll be leaving in just a week.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, travel as much as you can while you can.

Birthdays always make me reflect on how these years of our lives are so precious. I’m young and lucky to be in shape and active and able to travel the world, hike up the tallest mountains, and swim in the biggest seas. It’s not always going to be that way and we won’t always have the freedom to just travel on a whim. Of course, traveling will always be a part of my life, but when you have a family and more responsibilities then it becomes a lot more complicated.

I really hope you all feel as inspired as I do to travel and connect with other people from other places all over the world. Don’t ever let anything hold you back from going to the places you want to go and seeing what you want to see. If you really want it bad enough, you can make it happen for yourself. There are so many opportunities out there in the world. You just have to be open to them!
