Mantra Monday // Nobody’s Purfect

nobodys-perfect I’m turning 23 in less than a week! I couldn’t be more excited for another year of this life. It hit me that this week marks exactly 1 year since I packed up and moved all the way across the world from Atlanta to Hong Kong. It’s gone by so incredibly fast (as life tends to do!). The older I get, the faster time seems to go by. Not sure why that is, but it’s given me a lot to think about. The biggest lesson I’ve learned over the past year has been self-love. I’ve come to realize “nobody’s purrrfect” both inside and out, so I’ve created this cute kitty cat design as a gentle reminder which you can download for free as an art print to decorate your walls or as a desktop/iPhone wallpaper to dress your tech. I am still working on full embracing myself and loving my body. It would be a lie to pretend that self-love isn’t something I struggle with on a daily basis. My body has been through a lot: from some very unhealthy college years to losing over 30 pounds to deciding to live a vibrant vegan lifestyle to now. In the process, I’ve fallen in love with running, so I run first thing in the morning 6 days a week because it’s what works for me.

I fully acknowledge that my worst enemy is myself. I used to think I’d be happier if I was a little bit skinnier or a little more fit. I would stress over what I ate every single day. I still sometimes struggle with these issues, but when I do I just pull away and remind myself that I am how I am. I am beautiful, strong, smart, and funny. I’m a kid at heart. There’s so much more that defines me than what I look like or what I eat. Nobody’s purrrfect, right?

When I stop taking myself so seriously, I am so much happier. Life should be fun. It should be enjoyed. Every day is a wonderful blessing. So, I hope this design I made can help cheer you up and remind you that nobody’s purrrfect, including you, and that’s okay!
