Wild & Free

wild & free

By now, y’all probably know that I’m back in Atlanta, Georgia. This idea of being “wild & free” is so close to my heart. I’ve officially made the move home to the same house I grew up in. It’s definitely a drastic change from the non-stop hustle and bustle in Los Angeles, but I welcome the change with an open heart and open mind. I already feel much more connected with nature since it surrounds me on all sides here. I literally woke up to the sound of birds chirping and bees buzzing. I’m really looking forward to the adventures I’ll have outdoors in the next couple of weeks. And you can definitely expect to hear a lot more “y’all” from here on out.

Over the past couple of days, I’ve been inspired by the notion of living “wild & free”. I’m so lucky to have grown up with a big front yard and backyard with plenty of room to run around, play, and let my imagination go wild. I remember when my brother and I were little, we would come up with these really crazy fantastical stories. They were type of stories that little kids dream of, like that we were pirates or the creek in my backyard was actually lava. There was always a mission that needed to be accomplished and it mainly involved us chasing each other, climbing trees, and digging in the dirt.

Now that I’m all grown up, it may not be the same but being home reminds me of this sense of creativity and imagination. It makes me want to be outside more than ever and to remember what it was like to be so mentally free. Even when I just look outside and see all the greenery or take a walk through the neighborhood, I feel inspired and at peace. It’s a nice change and I’m embracing every minute of it.
