“Here comes Peter Cottontail, hoppin’ down the bunny trail…”. You guys, I’m a big sucker for holidays. I seriously go all out on every level: decorations for my apartment, festive food all day long, holiday appropriate music. Easter is no exception so I made this Easter bunny-inspired art print that you guys can download for free! I hope you’re as excited for the Easter bunny to come visit as I am.

Growing up, I spent Easter with my grandparents in the north Georgia mountains. They live in the most beautiful, tiny southern town nestled in the Blue Ridge mountains. It’s about as Southern as you can get. There’s one main street that has all of the town’s shops and restaurants, the local bookstore, and the post office.

I always looked forward to heading there for Easter. We would go the night before to make Easter eggs. Naturally, the Easter bunny would hide them. Then in the morning my older brother and I would race outside to find them all. It was always a competition to see who could find the most. I always won (at least that’s how I remember it). Then, we’d open up our huge Easter baskets that were sitting on the porch for us, have a big family brunch, and tell stories and play games all day long.

I really miss being home for Easter. However, I’m trying to make new traditions here in L.A. So I might just have to make myself an Easter basket, some vegan carrot cake, and other healthy sweets to eat all day long. How are you planning to celebrate Easter this year? Comment below and let me know your favorite traditions.
