I really feel so bad that I keep having to apologize over and over again, but I’m so sorry. I know I’ve been kind of AWOL here lately and I hope you’ll let me explain. Life has just been so crazy busy, chaotic, and overwhelming lately. I know that’s no excuse, but I’ve barely had time to do anything besides work, eat, and sleep. I had a business catastrophe that I couldn’t fix the week before I left for London, then I was out of town, and now I’ve been playing catch-up with my company doing all the production. I know it doesn’t help that I took a vacation in the midst of the struggle, but I really needed it. It forced me to put my big girl pants on and get sh** done when I got back (for lack of a better way of putting it).
On top of running around like a mad woman, I’ve been feeling really sick. Jet lag always hits me on the later end. So I was fine right when I got back, but now I’m barely able to stay up past 8pm. I have felt so sick to my stomach and very light-headed. I’ve had 4 events over the last 3 days that I’ve had to attend to and work at. And between all this, I’ve been struggling with my own insecurities that flare up whenever I am in an uncomfortable or unusually stressful situation.
So, I’m trying to get my feet back on the ground and keep my chin up. It’s all about my attitude, because I truly believe that I can be my own worst enemy. I can’t wait for Halloween, because we have a secret theater show that my boyfriend got us tickets for. It’s all a complete surprise, like they don’t even tell you where you’re going to meet until the day of. It’s an interactive show, so we’ll literally be in on the action and get to watch it unfold both as audience and as performer. What’s more exciting and spontaneous than that?
So basically, I just needed some time to give myself an encouraging pep-talk, pick myself up by the bootstraps, and stay as optimistic as ever.
As for Halloween treats, I’m definitely going to be whipping up these vegan pumpkin baked goodies:
