5 Healthy Travel Snacks

healthy vegan travel snacks

Happy almost 4th of July! We’re gearing up for our big trip to Paris & the Cote d’Azur, where we’ll be celebrating Bastille Day. But don’t worry, I made sure we won’t be missing out on fireworks. No way. We’ll be in Paris to see the Bastille Day fireworks over the Eiffel Tower. I have the biggest obsession with holiday traditions, since my mom made sure always celebrated with a bang. She’d decorate our entire house for each holiday, make us goodie bags, and cook delicious holiday recipes. Finding plant-based food while traveling can be tricky, so I’ve rounded-up these 5 recipes for healthy, vegan travel snacks.

When traveling as a vegan, I highly recommend doing research ahead of time.

I always go online to find any vegan-friendly organic stores, markets, health shops, cafes, and restaurants. For example, I discovered that there’s a healthy organic shop that has various locations dotting the southern coast of France. My safest bet is to go to sushi/Japanese restaurants for sushi, spring rolls, steamed rice, and veggies. Also, my brother mentioned there are plenty of fresh produce markets in southern France.

In Paris, there are vegan bakeries, juice bars, more sushi shops, a raw food restaurant, and even a vegan burger place!

I feel blessed for the chances I have to be able to travel the world. Even though being vegan while traveling isn’t the easiest, there are vegan options popping up everywhere nowadays. I try not to stress too much, because the most important part of traveling is enjoying yourself. So, I might not stick to my usual regimen, but as long as I’m eating plant-based then I’m happy!

I’ve rounded up these 5 easy, healthy vegan travel snacks perfect for on-the-go:

  1. Crunchy, naturally-sweetened peanut butter maca granola clusters (Blissful Basil)
  2. Homemade almond butter made with just almonds & sea salt (Tuulia Talvio)
