Celebrate
How do you celebrate holidays? Honestly nobody loves holidays and special occasions more than I do. Just ask Julian. I think I get it from my mom, because growing up she always went all out for every little holiday. I loved every minute of it. Also, I feel like this made my childhood feel extra magical.
Now, I try to celebrate a little bit everyday. Whether it’s the flowers blooming in spring or the leaves falling in autumn, I believe there’s always something to celebrate. That being said, here I’m sharing my tips for gathering with family and friends, vegan round-ups for holiday and potluck appropriate dishes, and more.
Even if it’s just Julian and I at home, we always try to make each holiday one to remember. Even if it’s as simple as lighting a candle and ordering your favorite food for takeout, take those times to enjoy every little moment.
Christmas probably stands as my favorite holiday. I start listening to holiday music in July, so if that’s not a tell tale sign I don’t know what is. Also, I believed in Santa until I was maybe 13 years old. It’s not the gifts that matter, it’s the feeling you get during the holiday season. Don’t even get me started on Christmas movies. Halloween takes a close second, because I love watching a Harry Potter movie marathon. I bake homemade pumpkin pie and curl up in my favorite cozy sweaters.. I hope you love these holidays as much as I do!
